Scottish Cheeses
In spite of the ever-increasing controls, taxation and hardships facing Scottish farmers and cheesemakers, there is still a thriving cheese industry in Scotland. These cheesemakers produce a wide variety of cheeses, most of which are hand-made using traditional methods.
We also stock a small selection of guest farmhouse cheeses, please look in the next section.

Scottish Honey
A selection of honeys from Scottish honey farms from Galloway to Angus. The local Crieff honeys are from small producers, consequently they are only available while stocks last.

A traditional Scottish biscuit, made from oatmeal. An essential component of 'biscuits and cheese' board.

A range of quality jams and fruit preserves from Scottish producers. All of these products are made to traditional recipes using the finest of ingredients.
Scottish Shortbread
Shortbread is a traditional Scottish cake, eaten all year round, but especially at Christmas and New Year. Made from the finest of ingredients, it must contain butter in order to have the correct taste. Traditionally made from oatmeal, sifted flour and rice flour are now frequently used.
Hogmanay shortbread is often larger, thicker and decorated with candied citron peel and some almond comfits.
The notched edges, formed by pinching between the thumb and finger, is thought to represent the sun's rays, dating back to sun-worship
