A single cask Glenturret whisky bottled by Berry Bros and Rudd exclusively for J. L. Gill.
This "Ruadh Maor" is a heavily peated expression, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2019 as a 9 years old whisky.
Bottled at natural cask strength of 58.9% Vol., unchill-filtered and with no added colour.
The style of this whisky is similar to Ledaig with strong coastal notes.
Nose: fat smoky aromas of bacon, seaweed, some citrus and new leather.
Palate: Continuing the nose properties with powerful peat smoke developing into tobacco, some rich fruit, over ripe blood orange with a distinct coastal tang.
Finish: A long finish brings some oak with a little spice
