Presented in a wooden presentation case, this limited edition was created by an initial maturation in a range of cask sizes - quarter casks to butts - followed by a marriage and final maturation in sherry casks for a year.
Bottled at a cask strength of 44.4% alc/vol.
Tasting notes with the bottle:
Colour: Coppery Gold.
Nose: Smoky, grilled dates drizzled in Manuka honey, speckled with dry thyme and rosemary, chased by hints of liquorice and herbal Islay heather.
Palate: The taste is sweet pear and honey complemented by salted toffee and black pepper, giving way to a touch of iodine and seaweed reminiscent of Islay.
Finish: Dried spices, cedar and complex lingering peat.
