This Iconic Speyside was selected by Duncan Taylor for their "The Octave "series of cask strength whiskies.
Distilled in 2010, aged in oak (cask no. 2923374) for 8 years with an additional 4 months in octave and bottled in 2019.
This is one of 101 bottles, bottled at 54.4% alc./vol. with no added colour and non-chill filtered.
Tasting notes from the bottle:
Before it was put into Octave cask:
Fruity, custard, nutty, lemon sponge, cream pie.
After the Octave:
Apple crumble, soft sherry, stewed rhubarb, ginger & walnuts.
