Named after the dark, stormy coves of Campbeltown's west shores, the Gauldrons is a marriage of some of the finest Campbeltown malts and is bottled by Douglas Laing in very small batches.
Notes from the bottle:
The nose reveals honeycomb, brown sugar, sea salt and a late hint of subtle spices.
The palate is mouth coating and sweet with a peppery warmth developing to a beachy and maritime character.
The finish brings vanilla and oak with dark puffs of smoke and a biscuit sweetness.
Bottled at 46.2% Alc/Vol with no added colour and non-chill filtered.
